Dr. Jenna Mooney is a Dayton native! She grew up in Kettering and went to Fairmont High School. During high school she was very active participating in basketball, softball, and rowing. She was able to continue her rowing career in college at Nova Southeastern University. While there, she earned her Bachelors of Science in Biology with concentrations in Spanish and Public Health. Dr. Jenna was first introduced to chiropractic care while rowing in high school. She continued to receive chiropractic care throughout her collegiate career and states that it was ultimately “the thing that kept me going” through multiple injuries. Having both competed at a high level, and having been side-lined due to injury, Dr. Jenna understands injury and the toll it can take on the body and mind.
Deciding to pursue chiropractic as a career, Dr. Jenna moved to St. Louis to study at Logan University. She completed not only her Doctor of Chiropractic, but also her Masters in Sports Science and Exercise Rehabilitation. She is credentialed as a Certified Chiropractic Sports Physician. Dr. Jenna continues to further her knowledge of chiropractic in sports and is a regular attendee of conferences and seminars teaching the newest and most innovative techniques. She has been trained in ART and SFMA techniques; both used extensively in the sports world.
Even with her interest in sports, Dr. Jenna recognizes that not every technique is right for every patient. She continues to diversify her skill set with additional techniques. She became Webster certified in her pursuit to better care for her pregnancy, post-partum, and pediatric patients. She is also proficient in activator technique, useful when treating patients with certain underlying conditions including advanced arthritis, and those interested in the benefits of chiropractic care without the “popping”. She considers it an honor to care for anyone pursuing better health. The whole family is welcome!
In her free time, Dr. Jenna loves spending time with her family. She enjoys watching and attending sporting events, reading, and cooking. You can frequently find her volunteering at local events with her church, or helping out with community neighborhood projects through NeighborLink Miami Valley.
